Weigh In
4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, March 20, 2009. Scratch weight is recorded for "Elementary School Age" division only. Others must make your weight class. ***Top 12 placers in HS division must weigh-in Saturday night after their last match, 2 lb. allowance.
Eligibility
Any girl/woman who is age 5 or older.
Elementary Division
For Grades K-1-2-3-4-5. High School rules. 3 minute matches: 1/1/1.
Blocked Weights during 2009 season.
Middle School Division
For Grades 6-7-8. High School rules. 4 1/2 minute matches: 1:30, 1:30, 1:30.
65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125, 130, 140, 155, 220.
High School Division
For Grades 9-10-11-12. High School rules. 6 minute matches: 2/2/2.
98, 103, 108, 112, 116, 120, 124, 128, 133, 139, 146, 155, 170, 250.
Collegiate Division
Post High Schoolers. NCAA rules. 7 minute matches: 3/2/2. (Either wrestler age 35 or over, match will be 4 minutes: 2/1/1.)
97, 105, 112, 121, 130, 138, 148, 158, 176, 209, 250.
Insurance
This tournament is insured by the Bob Leid Agency, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, the leading wrestling/team sports insurer in the country. They specialize in wrestling. Policy is available upon request. Send stamped self addressed envelope to the USGWA Director for a copy.
Style
Folkstyle (high school style) rules. HEADGEAR MANDATORY, hair netting OPTIONAL. NCAA rules for Collegiate Women Division
Entry Fee
$40.00 per wrestler if POSTMARKED by March 14, 2009; $50.00 at weigh-in. REGISTER EARLY!!!!!!
Spectator Admisssion Fee
Adults $35 for 2-day pass; Students $20 for 2-day pass; Senior Citizens (Age 65 & Older) $15 for 2-day pass. Children age 5 & under FREE. One day passes, either day: Adults $20, Students $12, Senior Citizens $8.
Individual Awards
Medals to the TOP 12 placers in High school division, top 8 in Middle division, top 6 in Elementary school age division, and top 6 in collegiate women's division.. Also a plaque for ‘MOST OUTSTANDING WRESTLER’ in each division. We will wrestle to 12 places in the High school division, and down to 8 in elementary and middle school if there are enough entries. Collegiate women to 8 places..
Uniforms
High School uniforms shall not be worn unless approved by your states' HS Athletic Assn. Elem, MS, and college may wear their uniform of choice.
Weigh-In Attire
A singlet is the REQUIRED weigh-in attire.
